An experimental setup of two-phase cooling loop driven by magnetic pump was built. The performance and start-up characteristics of the two-phase cooling loop are evaluated by the air enthalpy difference method. Experimental results show that the two-phase cooling loop driven by magnetic pump presents excellent performance for energy saving. Its start-up is quick and the system reaches a steady state after 600 s. The fluctuations of pressure and temperature in the system are caused by the superheat of the liquid refrigerant in the evaporator during the start-up. The cooling capacity of the system increases with the temperature difference
and increases rapidly with the mass flow rate and then decreases slowly. When the temperature difference is 10℃
the maximum cooling capacity is 3.429 kW and the energy efficiency ratio is 12.94. When the temperature difference is 25℃
