Analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of tray column and packing column

a new kind of compound column comprising the spraying LLC-Tray and regular packing was presented.Experiments were conducted to study the effects of operating conditions and geometrical shape on the hydrodynamic performance of the compound column and the results showed that as compared the tray column under the same operating conditions

the compound column possessed such advantages

as lower pressure drop

higher flux

less entrainment and bigger flexibility of operation.
