The bifurcation behavior in various parameter regions is explored for an isothermal continuous mixed suspension-mixed product removal (CMSMPR) crystallizer in which primary nucleation and secondary nucleation take place simultaneously by resolving the steady state equations with the continuation technique for nonlinear equations.The number of the steady states of the crystallizer in various parameter regions is determined and the stability of the steady states is analyzed by use of the Routh-Hurith criteria.In addition

the transient characteristics of the crystallizer in both multiplicity and sustained oscillation regions are investigated by resolving the dynamic equations with a fourth-order Runge-Kutta technique.
