In seven kinds of impeller - tank systems

the characteristics of turbulence flow have been investigated by using a one - dimensional hot - film anemometer. The measured parameters include the mean and fluctuating velocities and energy spectrum. Based on the measured results

the overall flow patterns in the stirred tank are obtained. The effects of the impeller off - bottom - distance

the impeller tip angle and scale - up on the patterns and turbulence parameters have been studied.
