reaction temperature and additive on the electrochemical reduction of m-nitrobenzoic acid (mNBA) in sulfuric acid were investigated with cyclic voltammetry. The results showed that the most suitable electrode material was copper. The peak current of mNBA reduction increased with increasing scan rate and temperature. The electrode process was controlled by diffusion
and was accompanied by irreversible chemical reaction. The additive SnCl2 showed good electro-catalytic activity for the electrochemical reduction of mNBA.
