Mass transfer of atomization from a pressure-swirl nozzle was studied.Absorption rate was investigated in CO2-H2O, C2H2-H2O,O2-H2O,CO2-paraffin systems. The results showed that higher atomization pressure resulted in higher absorption rate
but the final concentration of liquid was almost independent of atomization pressure.By analyzing the force on a single droplet
the function of droplet velocity with time was obtained
and calculation results showed that the droplet velocity had a quick decent
and dropped to its terminal velocity in 0.6 s.A mass transfer model was built on the basis of the penetration model. The modeling value was in good agreement with the experimental value
