A one-dimensional mathematical model was presented for the catalytic combustion reactor. The conversions of toluene
carbon monoxide and propylene and the profile of temperature with the height of the catalytic bed were obtained. The effects of waste gas flow rate
inlet concentration and inlet temperature on conversion were simulated. The conversions of toluene
carbon monoxide and propylene decreased with increasing waste gas flow rate. In the mixture
the effect of the inlet concentration of toluene on the conversions of carbon monoxide and propylene is slight
but the inlet concentrations of carbon monoxide and propylene did affect the conversion of toluene. Reciprocal inhibition effects existed in the catalytic combustion of toluene
