Effect of heterocyclic organic inhibitors on corrosion behavior of aluminum in 3.5% sodium chloride solution
Organic corrosion inhibitors of aluminum alloy are widely studied and used in sea water environment.Seven organic compounds were chosen and their inhibiting effects on corrosion of 7075 aluminum alloy in 3.5% NaCl solution were evaluated by the mass loss method and electrochemical method. Scanning electronic microscopy(SEM)was used to examine the surface morphology of corrosion samples.Experimental results showed that these seven organic compounds had different corrosion inhibition effects
in which the heterocyclic compound B had the best corrosion inhibition effect.Through SEM observation of pitting characteristics and electrochemical analysis
the excellent corrosion inhibition effect of heterocyclic compound B was attributed to its anode controlling and surface film-forming mechanism.
