Epoxy acrylate composite latex was prepared via miniemulsion polymerization. The effects of curing temperature
curing time and content of phosphate ester emulsifier on the properties of epoxy acrylate composite coating were investigated. The results showed that the epoxy acrylate composite latex particles were uniform spherical structure
and the average particle size distribution was about 150 nm. When the curing temperature is 120℃
the curing time 2 h
the content of phosphate ester emulsifier 3%
the coating has the best corrosion resistance. The film formation and mechanism of corrosion resistance were researched. The passivation film was formed between the composite latex and metal substrate and the corrosion resistance of obtained coatings was improved.
