Heat transfer performance of pulsating heat pipe with graphene aqueous nanofluids
Experiments of pulsating heat pipe(PHP) were conducted with graphene nanoplate(GNP) nanofliuds at different mass fractions(0.01%
0.05% %
0.08% and 0.10%) under various filling ratios(45%-90%) and heat inputs(10-100 W). The results indicated that when the filling ratio was 45%
GNP nanofluids can significantly improve the dry state in PHP. The filling ratio ranged from 55%-70% and PHP with GNP nanofluids at the mass fraction of 0.01% showed better heat transfer performance and the maximum reduction on thermal resistance of PHP with nanofluids was 83.33% compared to that with deionized water. The main reasons for improving the heat transfer performance of PHP were higher thermal conductivity and better surface wettability of GNP nanofluids.
