Abstract

This paper discusses the static model of a 1000 t/day ammonia plant

which uses natural gas as the raw material. Calculated values of compositions

temperature

etc.

are in good agreement with actual measurements. A new optimization method called the decomposition-coordination method for large sized systems is presented in this paper. The method has been verified experimentally. An on-line computer control stratery is also illustrated.
