Structure characterization of La and V incorporated MCM-41 molecular sieves and its catalytic performance for phenol hydroxylation
Bimetallic La and V incorporated MCM-41 molecular sieves were synthesized at hydrothermal condition and characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD)
thermo gravimetry (TG)
Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)
ultraviolet-visible diffuse reflectance spectra (UV-Vis)and N2 adsorption techniques. The results indicated that all the samples exhibited typical hexagonal arrangement of mesoporous structure with high surface area and the heteroatoms were
at least in some extent
incorporated into the framework of MCM-41.Catalytic performances of the obtained materials were evaluated in the hydroxylation of phenol with H2O2.The results showed that the La-V-MCM-41 catalyst had higher activity and selectivity compared with the TS-1 catalyst.By addition of metal La
not only the utilization efficiency of H2O2 improved
but also the content of hydroquinone increased.La-V-MCM-41 catalysts could be regenerated and reused by calcination.
